If you want to add your accommodation or some of the properties for sale on Expedia, the integration can be done using Beds24 channel management.

After that, all bookings from Expedia will go directly to Moder, and Expedia will read availability and pricing directly from Moder.

Note! Do not create a Beds24 account yourself, the Moder team will create it for you.

The process proceeds as follows

1. Create the desired room types/cabins on your Expedia extranet account, if they are not already there.

2. Download and fill out the attached "Room mappings for Moder x Expedia" -Excel. Instructions for completing the Excel can be found within the Excel file.

3. Add Beds24 as a connectivity provider in Expedia's channel management. This enables us to create an integration.

4. Contact Moder support (support@moder.fi) and let us know that you would like to integrate Expedia and Moder. Also return the completed room mapping Excel.

5. We will confirm to you when the integration is ready. After that, Expedia will read availability and pricing directly from Moder.

   1. If you already have existing bookings on your Expedia account, we will import the bookings directly into Moder using the import tool, so you do not need to add them manually to Moder in advance.

Important points in Expedia's pricing

• If you use the Per occupancy pricing model for Expedia, the extra person charge can only be set per night. Setting an extra person charge per reservation is not possible.

• If price adjustments based on the length of stay have been set in Moder's base pricing for the property (e.g., a 10% discount if staying at least three nights), these rules do not transfer directly to Expedia but must be built separately through your own Expedia channel management.

• The actual price rules set in Moder will transfer to Expedia. In Moder, it is also possible to set price rules that apply only to external booking channels (see the detailed instructions on Moder pricing).

• When you update prices or price rules in Moder, remember to click the "Update prices to sales channels" button; this makes the prices update to the booking channel faster (usually the delay is from a few minutes to tens of minutes, depending on the booking channel).

• Moder sends prices to Expedia for one year ahead, but upon request they can be sent for 2 years. In that case, contact Moder support.
